Happy 4th of July – Celebrating Religious Freedom In America
πΊπΈ On this 4th of July, millions of Hindu Americans across the country join in celebrating Independence Day. But beyond fireworks and parades, this day carries a deeper significance for Hindu Americans: the freedom to worship as we choose.
π America’s founders enshrined religious liberty as one of the nation’s core principles, a right that has allowed communities of every faith to practice, gather, and celebrate openly. For Hindus who have made the United States their home, this freedom has meant the ability to build temples, perform daily puja, celebrate festivals like Diwali and Navratri, and pass down Hinduism to the next generation β all without fear or restriction.
πͺ From the ringing of temple bells in Texas to the glow of diyas in living rooms across the country, Hindu Americans have woven their traditions into the fabric of American life. This is only possible because of the freedoms this nation guarantees.
π On this Independence Day, Hindu Herald extends gratitude to a country that has given the Hindu community the space to thrive, worship, and celebrate proudly β both as Hindus and as Americans.
Happy 4th of July, America!
