Vaishno Dhaba in UP. A “Dhaba” is a roadside eatery. The Kanwar Yatra is where devotees bring Ganges water to Shiva temples. They carry it in pots tied to a bamboo stick on their shoulders. A new law says restaurants along the route must display business owner’s names. The Hindu org is claiming that Muslims are using Hindu business names and putting garlic and onion in the food – which they say is forbidden during Shravan month. But is that true? According to the Shiva Purana, garlic and onion are forbidden permanently – not just during Shravan month. There’s no time limit that says only during Shravan.
