ISKCON Bengaluru believes in the “Ritvik system” where after founding guru’s 1977 death, modern guru’s should only initiate on dead founder’s behalf. No new gurus in the parampara. Global ISKCON org says ritvik system puts an END to the guru parampara, making the founder the last guru – which they disagree with. Living gurus are necessary they say. The global ISKCON org supplies funds for temples including the Bengaluru temple to be built. The people who run the Bengaluru temple did not build it with their own money.
